Stay Journal is a platform for open, thoughtful, expression. We encourage everyone with a flare for words and creativity to contribute. Contributions are one time submissions of articles. If your contribution doesn't meet our guidelines or voice, we will work with you to provide feedback that may allow you to improve your article.

Article Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing. In order to ensure that Stay Journal’s content is valuable, the following guidelines have been compiled for those making a contribution. If you have any questions or comments regarding these guidelines, direct them to our email: TheStayJournal@gmail.com 

Submitting an article gives Stay Journal the rights to publish and make minor edit, if needed. The editor will review all articles and make minor changes for readability, organization and  style prior to publication. If significant revisions are needed, the editor will send the revised article back to author for revision. The writer will revise accordingly and the editor will review and must approve the article before publication. The date an article is published will be determined by the admin.

Before writing/submitting an article:
  • Article topic must be about Stray Kids or Stay.

Things to follow when writing/submitting an article:
  • Completed article must be original and well-written.

  • Submit article through google docs and simply attach the link or submit through Microsoft Word document format (.doc or .docx) and attach it in the form. If you can't submit through a word file, you may send the contribution through email.

  • Character or word limit: 600-5000 words

  • If images are included, make sure to use good quality photos.

  • You may include links.

Article title and author information:
  • Include an appropriate and informative title for article.

  • Capitalize only the first letter of each word in the title.

  • Include the author’s name or pen name

Language:
  • Use English language only.

  • Do not use profanity.

  • Avoid biased or derogatory language.

  • Avoid slang.

Content:
  • Authors should aim to provide complete information, and not to promote one particular point of view over another

You are free to choose whatever topic you want under Stray Kids or Stay. It can be a light and fun read or a lengthy emotional piece. It's all up to you. We want you to freely express yourself. We want to hear your voice through your writing.
